This one-day masterclass offers actors the chance to explore how fight scenes are developed, rehearsed and performed for screen. You’ll gain insight into how action is created on set, how it differs from stage work, and what directors and stunt teams are expecting from actor’s during physical scenes.
We’ll look at a range of action styles, analyse real fight sequences, and explore what makes them effective. You’ll also get practical experience with short, realistic moments of screen violence, focusing on safety, intention, and storytelling.
Working with scenes from shows like Top Boy, Game of Thrones, and The Irishman, you'll rehearse dialogue, block physical movement, and learn simple, scene-specific fights. You'll then get the opportunity to watch your work on screen and rework the material under direction.
This workshop is ideal for actors 18+…
