Designed to be welcoming and supportive, our Acting for Beginners courses offer a great mix of learning and fun.

These workshops are for everyone, attracting a diverse crowd. Our students come from various backgrounds and ages, all 18 and over, each with their unique reasons for joining.

 

Whether you're taking the first step towards a career in acting, looking to meet new people, or just seeking a creative outlet to boost your confidence, our courses are tailored for you. They're not only enjoyable but also a fantastic way to explore your potential!

What to expect

Our beginners' courses are your first step into the world of acting, designed for anyone over 18 looking to explore acting. We keep our class sizes small, ensuring that each of you gets the personalised attention and support you need to develop at your own pace.

 

We run seven 6-week courses throughout the year, every Thursday evening. These courses are structured flexibly, allowing you to start your acting journey with us at any point in the year.

 

Each 6-week course delves into a different acting discipline, equipping you with a wide range of essential skills for your acting toolkit.

 

Don't worry if you're new to this – no previous courses or acting experience is needed! We're here to guide you from the ground up, helping you discover and hone your acting abilities.

The Actor Rebellion is located at Wrong Shoes Studio in Old Town, Swindon.

With free car parking and great public transport links from the Swindon train and bus stations, access is a breeze wherever you’re coming from.

​

Swindon is conveniently located on the M4 making it an ideal lcoation, especially if you're travelling from London, which is just an hour by train. Major cities like Bristol, Oxford, Bath, and Cheltenham are also conveniently close, with just a 30-45 minute commute.

We understand that everyone's financial situation is different, and we believe that shouldn't be a barrier to accessing quality training. That's why we've introduced tiered pricing for our beginner's courses, giving you the flexibility to choose a price that suits your budget.

 

Subsidised Rate: If finances are tight, don't sweat it. Choose this rate, and we'll welcome you into our training, no questions asked.

 

Standard Rate: For those who are in a position to do so, selecting this rate helps us keep our courses running and accessible to everyone.

 

Pay It Forward Rate: If you're feeling generous and have the means, consider this rate. Your contribution will support our subsidised pricing and scholarships, helping others to access our training.

 

Remember, no matter which rate you choose, you'll receive the same high-quality training as everyone else.

Unfortunately, due to rising running costs our prices will be increasing on 1st January 2025 for all tiers. 

But courses in 2025 can be pre-booked until the end of the year at our current prices.
